Chersiphron

Chersiphron, (* 6th century BC Knossos on Crete), was a Greek architect.

Chersiphron began with his son Metagenes at about 580/560 BC, the construction of the famous Temple of Artemis in Ephesus, which was 356 BC destroyed by Hero Stratos by arson. Construction of the temple is said to have lasted 120 years.
