Chevallier (crater)

Chevallier is a lunar impact crater on the northeast front. It is located north of the crater Shuckburgh, east of Atlas and southwest of the Lacus Temporis. Its interior is, apart from the large craters Chevallier B, largely flat. The crater wall is heavily eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the British astronomer and cleric Temple Chevallier.
