Chez Ashton

Chez Ashton is a fast food restaurant chain that is only in Québec ( city), Canada, or the near vicinity. The chain specializes in various versions of the National Court of poutine, but also performs other fast food dishes.

History

The first restaurant Chez Ashton was founded in 1969 by the founder Ashton Leblond, when he was just 21 years old. At that time he bought for 5,000 Canadian dollars a caravan, out of which he sold his dishes at the intersection of Boulevard Hamel and the rue Notre -Dame. At this time they found on the menu fries, hamburger, hot dog, and the like. The competition was very strong, which is why he first came up in his Poutine Menu 1972. The recipe for this he had from his home region in the center of the province of Quebec. Opened in 1976, Ashton Leblond then near the first Imbissstandes the first restaurant with seating. The chain is apart from the Poutine also known for its advertising activity every January: This month the price of Poutine decreases relatively to the temperature. A discount of 10% is granted regardless of the temperature for the entire month. The highest discount that has ever been granted, was in January 1997 and 2009. The chain currently has 26 restaurants in the region around Quebec City (City), Lévis and Saint- Georges ( Québec). Two restaurants were opened in the vicinity of Montreal, but closed very soon.
