Chez Chartier

Chez Chartier is a well known restaurant in Paris, which opened in 1896 and located in the rear building of 7, rue du Faubourg - Montmartre is ( 9th arrondissement ). Grands Boulevards is the nearest metro station of lines 8 and 9 Chez Chartier is since 1989 a monument worthy of protection ( monument historique ).

History

Chez Chartier was founded in 1896 by brothers Frédéric et Camille Chartier ( 1845-1926 ) founded after the 1895 Famille had already opened a restaurant in the Rue du Temple. Established under the name of Le Bouillon ( Bouillon ) restaurant is located very close to the Grands Boulevards, the Hôtel Drouot and the stock market.

The interior of Chez Chartier has not changed much since it opened. The spacious room, which can accommodate about 300 people and as a railway station waiting room acts, nor provided to a large clock on the wall is illuminated by a glass ceiling. In the walls indicated niches with mirrors are embedded. The walls with marble pedestals are provided to half the height wooden paneling and moldings with stucco.
