Chhewang Nima

Chhewang Nima ( Nima also Chuwang ) ( born August 20, 1967; † 25 October 2010) was a Nepalese mountaineer.

He accompanied numerous tours in the Himalayas as a high-mountain support and was considered one of the most experienced climbers in the world. He reached 19 times the summit of Mount Everest, the first time on 3 May 1994. Few months later he was already the second time at the summit. He also climbed Cho Oyu twice (2002 and 2003) and reached the summit of Shishapangma means 2004.

On the way to the summit of the 7129 meter Baruntse in the eastern Himalayan region he was captured on October 23, 2010 in 7045 meters of an avalanche; the search was unsuccessful set on October 25, 2010.
