Chicago Temple Building

The Chicago Temple is a skyscraper in Chicago with a height of 169 m (other sources speak of 173 m ) and 29 floors. He was 1922-1923 according to the plans of the architectural firm Holabird & Roche on behalf of the Methodist Episcopal Congregation built ( the congregation of the Methodist Episcopal Church ), the oldest church in the city ( founded in 1831 ).

Use

The ground floor of the church of the First United Methodist Church is located in Chicago with about 1000 seats in the 2nd floor, a chapel, other ecclesiastical spaces and the administration of the parish. Furthermore, in the 3rd and 4th floor, are premises for the Sunday school, a conference room and a room for the church choir. The next 17 floors up to the 21st floor are offices that are mainly rented to lawyers.
