Chief of staff

The Chief of Staff or Chief of Staff is the head of a rod in mostly military but also civilian hierarchical organizations. In the military, the rod consists of staff departments and, if necessary, other specialists available to the commander of an association or command authority in fulfilling its management responsibilities to the side. The military chief of staff is a ( general) staff officer, in higher staffs a general.
