Childcare
Day care in Germany is a term used in welfare work. We distinguish between day care in the area
- Children and Youth Services and
- The elderly ( day care for seniors) and work with the disabled.
Child Day Care
The day care is a service of children and youth services. In addition to the education, training and institutional care ( daycare, kindergarten, nursery, nursery, etc.) it is the other explicitly in Section 3 of the SGB VIII ( § § 22 to 26 ) shall supply form of child day care.
Be distinguished from is a privately organized and funded child care, which is often linked to the completion of further work in the household ( " nanny ").
Day care in disability work and day care for seniors
The form of care day care in disability care and day care for seniors is a crèche and care services for people who do not (more) themselves can fully provide. The term is distinguished from the short-term care, in which patients are not only at day but also at night receiving health care; see also long-term care and nursing care.
