Chiliquín District

Chiliquin is one of the 21 districts of Peru, from which the province of Chachapoyas in the Amazonas region exists.

Geography

Chiliquin is located in the high mountains in the Andes. Chiliquin is accessible only on foot or by mule, a road does not exist. Likewise, the entire district is not connected to the electricity grid.

Confines

In the north, the district borders the district Asunción ( Chachapoyas ), to the east by the district Quinjalca ( Chachapoyas ), to the south by the district Sonche ( Chachapoyas ), on the southwest by the district Valera ( Bongará ) and to the west by the district Jumbilla ( Chachapoyas ).

Height

The entire district Chiliquin is located in the high mountains, the eponymous district capital is located at an altitude of 2505 m above sea level
