CHL Defenceman of the Year

The CHL Defenceman of the Year Award is an award of the Canadian Hockey League. He has been awarded since the end of the 1987/88 season annually to the best defender of the three major Canadian junior leagues. To select each of the winners of the Bill Hunter Memorial Trophy are ( best defender of the Western Hockey League), the Max Kaminsky Trophy ( best defender of the Ontario Hockey League) and the Trophée Émile Bouchard winner ( best defender of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League).
