Chlorophorus trifasciatus
Chlorophorus trifasciatus is a ram block from the family of longhorn beetles.
Description
The Beetle is 6 to 12 mm in size. Like most Aries blocks it is colored flashy. The head is black, but sometimes red. The approximately spherical, reddish pronotum bears a white, hair-like scales on. On the black elytra are three broad white napkins.
Occurrence
The species lives in South and South-East Europe, in addition, in Turkey and the Middle East. Also in the southern Switzerland it occurs.
Way of life
The larvae develop in the course of two years in the stems or roots of various leguminous plants, especially Hauhecheln. The beetles fly from May to July and are often found on flowers.
