Cho-airong District

Amphoe Cho - Airong ( Thai: อำเภอ เจาะ ไอ ร้อง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of Narathiwat Province. The Narathiwat province is located southeast of the southern region of Thailand, at the border to Malaysia.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Mueang Narathiwat the Tak Bai, Su- ngai Padi and Ra Ngae. All Amphoe located in the province of Narathiwat.

History

Cho - aiong was on on May 31, 1993 initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by three tambon from Amphoe Ra Ngae were separated. On 5 December 1996 Cho - Airong got the full Amphoe status.

Management

Amphoe Waeng is divided into three subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 33 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
