Choerophryne
Choerophryne is an amphibian genus of the family -mouthed.
Description
The pupils are horizontal. The tongue is small, oblong, cut back slightly and rear and on the sides can be lifted freely. Palate teeth and framing missing. There are two denticulate rugae present. The tympanic membrane can be clearly seen. The fingers and toes have large adhesive discs. The phalanges are bony and T-shaped. There is no webbing between the metatarsals of the 4th and 5th toe. Praecoracoide and clavicles are absent.
Occurrence
The genus is found only in New Guinea.

The genus was first described in 1914 by Choerophryne Pieter Nicolaas van Kampen. It includes 11 species:
