Chōfu, Tokyo

Chōfu (Japanese调 布 市, -shi ) is a city located in Tokyo, about 20 km west from the center of Tokyo.

History

The city was founded on April 1, 1955.

Geography

Chōfu is located on the left bank of the Tama, the border with Kawasaki ( Kanagawa ) and Inagi marked in the south and southeast. In the east Chōfu borders Fuchū, in the north at Koganei and Mitaka and to the west and Komae Setagaya.

Traffic

About three kilometers north of the city center there is a small Chōfu airport.
