Choi Seou

Choi Seou by 2012 Choi Yong- jik ( born December 3, 1982 in Gunsan, South Korea) is a South Korean ski jumper. He's like all Profiskispringer from South Korea for the Ski Club 1 active High.

Career

Choi jumps especially in Continental Cup, where he won a competition in Brotterode 2005. On the local Inselbergschanze he has since held with 123.5 meters and the hill record. A total of four podium finishes and overall in the 2004/05 season he scored a 24th place.

In the World Cup Choi is less successful. Only three times he reached the points: first time in 1999 at Bergisel, most recently in 2007 as 25th in Klingenthal - his best ever World Cup result. With the South Korean team, he was named aft 2002 in Sapporo.

At Olympic Winter Games Yong- jik Choi has been able to attend four times (1998 in Nagano, 2002 Salt Lake City, Torino 2006 and Vancouver 2010 ). He reached his best results in 2002 as 34th on the normal hill and 8th in the team competition.

Choi's most successful Nordic World Ski Championships was the World Cup of 2005 in Oberstdorf, when he was 22 in the individual competition and 10th in the team competition on the normal hill. In addition, he managed a 29th place at the Ski Flying World Championships 2000 in Vikersund. In the Winter Universiade in 2009 in the Chinese Yabuli he won with the South Korean team the gold medal in the team competition. Two years earlier he had each won second place at the student competitions in Pragelato on the normal hill and in the team competition. In the Asian Winter Games 2011 in Almaty Kazakh he could occupy the third place with the team.

Choi speaks except South Korean also German. He went to high school and is a student at the Korea National Sport University.
