The fig Spreizflügelfalter ( Choreutis nemorana ) is a butterfly of the family of Spreizflügelfalter ( Choreutidae ). It occurs mainly in the Canary Islands, Madeira, the Mediterranean, North Africa, in Asia and in Central Europe.
The wingspan is 16-20 mm.
The caterpillars feed on fig leaves. They create a web of silk threads to protect. The moths of summer - generation hatch in July. A second generation hatches in the fall and the winter.
The way damages the leaves of the fig ( Ficus carica ) and only causes pitting and discoloration and deformities.
