Choropampa District

The Peruvian district Choropampa is one of the 19 that make up the province Chota in the region Cajamarca. In the 2007 census, 3314 inhabitants were counted.

The district Choropampa gained tragic international celebrity when in 2000 a mercury -laden tanker truck accident. As a result of the accident there were numerous deaths and deformities.
