Choťánky

Choťánky ( German Chotianek ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers east of Poděbrady and belongs to fulltext your real estates.

Geography

Choťánky located to the right of the Elbe River in the Elbe on the Bohemian panel. To the south is the mouth of the Cidlina, in the northeast of Sansky runs kanál.

History

Archaeological findings in the construction of the road from Vrčení evidence of a settlement during the Neolithic Age and Hallstatt period. In the 10th century was at Choťánky a fortified castle of Slavnikiden and after their extinction in 995 of Vršovci.

The first written records of Chotětice dates back to 1345th At that time the village belonged to the rule Poděbrady. Located in the village celebrations was a fief of the castle Poděbrady. In the 15th century, probably during the Hussite siege of Podiebrad in 1426, the fortress was without form, and later received the name Kočičí hrádek ( Cat Castle ).
