Chris Andrews (singer)

Chris Andrews (born 15 October 1942 London, bourgeois Christopher Frederick Andrews ) is a British pop singer / pop singer, who now lives near Selm, a German town near Dortmund, and in Mallorca.

The composer and singer Chris Andrews began as a 13 -year-old his singing career in England. Beginning of the 1960s, he appeared in Hamburg's Star - Club in cooperation with the Beatles. Back in England he founded the band Chris Ravel and the Ravers and took there with Decca Records his first record on.

His first hits he wrote for Adam Faith and Sandie Shaw. For the latter, he wrote alone 15 hits; inter alia Yesterday Man, which, however, they refused to accept. He produced the song itself and so had his first number one hit with more than 10 million units sold in 1966. The title ended up in other European countries in the first place, also in South Africa and Australia.

More Hits by Chris Andrews in the 1960s were To Whom It Concerns and Pretty Belinda; the latter has been translated into nine languages. With the title Sugar Daddy he was in the 1973 film Blue flowers of gentian to see and hear. The title Girl do not come and Yesterday you can be heard in the international cinema cult film The Boat That Rocked / Radio Rock Revolution 2009. Chris wrote up today for yourself and many other national and international artists such as Agnetha Faltskog of Abba, Cher, The Mamas and the Papas, Peter Orloff more than 700 titles.

In July 2007, he married his longtime German partner Alexandra, which also performs its management.

Andrews composed for himself and other artists and occurs with and without tape at numerous events, concerts, oldies festivals and TV shows.
