Chris Norman
Christopher Ward " Chris " Norman ( born October 25, 1950 in Redcar, United Kingdom ) is a British musician and songwriter. Between 1975 and 1986 he was the singer and guitarist of the pop band Smokie.
Solo career
In 1978, Chris Norman Suzi Quatro along with the song Stumblin ' In on, which was a huge commercial success, especially in Germany. Together with Pete Spencer Norman focused on producing songs for other artists. Including the title of Head Over Heels in Love by Kevin Keegan and the England football team was in 1979, reached the number 31 of the UK and # 10 in the German charts. With the album Christmas Together, the Chris Norman has recorded together with the Riga Dome Boys Choir, he proved that he can not only sing rock and pop but also classical songs. On 2 August 2013, the single " Gypsy Queen " was released, on September 13, 2013, the album " There And Back" by Chris Norman wrote with his old friend and ex - Smokie drummer Pete Spencer.
Private life
On October 27 In 2001, Norman's son Brian in a motorcycle accident. Influenced by this loss, he serves as an honorary ambassador for the Children's Foundation Hospice Central Germany Nordhausen, in whose favor he gave charity concerts in September 2006 and in August 2010. His son Brian, he dedicated the album Handmade.
Norman lives with his wife Linda and five children on the Isle of Man.
