Chris Okotie

Chris Okotie (born 16 June 1959 Ethiope -West, Nigeria), actually Oghenebrorie Christopher Okotie, is a Nigerian televangelist.

Life

Chris Okotie was born in Delta State and visited the Edo College in Benin City. He received his doctorate in law at the University of Nigeria in Nsukka. After a visit to the Grace Fellowship Bible School in the U.S. city of Tulsa, he became a preacher and founded the Household of God Church in Lagos. Since 2001 he has been a preacher in the mission apokalupsis national television Nigerian Television Authority.

Policy

In the elections in Nigeria in 2003 was Okotie presidential candidate of the Justice Party (JP), but lost 0.30 percent of the vote as the eighth against Olusegun Obasanjo of the People's Democratic Party (PDP ). Okotie has announced that it will stand in the next presidential elections in April 2007 as a candidate, which was founded in 2005, Fresh Democratic Party ( FRESH ). In a nationwide survey, which was conducted by Silverbird TV and the newspaper Vanguard, he is the most popular with 32% of all candidates, which is due to its notoriety as a televangelist. He claimed that God had foretold a future as President.
