Chris Pozniak

Christopher " Chris " Pozniak ( born January 10, 1981 in Krakow, Poland Krzysztof Pozniak ) is a Canadian soccer player.

Career

Born in Poland Pozniak emigrated in 1990 to Canada, where he played in his youth at the Scarborough High School before he was drafted in 1998 by the Toronto Lynx in the 3rd round in the USL College Draft. In 1999, he began his professional career at the club in the USL A-League. In 2001 he joined the Swedish first division side Örebro SK, for he came to 45 operations by the end of 2003. Between 2004 and 2006 he played at the Norwegian club FK Haugesund in the second and third division of the country.

2007 Pozniak returned back to North America and signed a contract with the newly formed MLS team Toronto FC. After 22 operations in his first MLS season, he was selected in the MLS Expansion Draft 2007 by the San Jose Earthquakes re-established and transferred to CD Chivas USA shortly before the start of the season in exchange for John Cunliffe. After only four league operations, he was released from Chivas again and Pozniak joined briefly the Vancouver Whitecaps, before he made ​​the jump to Europe again. In the Scottish second division side FC Dundee Pozniak played on the opening game against Ross County as a test player and received a short time later a one-year contract.

National
