Chris Seitz

Chris Seitz ( born March 12, 1987 in San Luis Obispo, California) is an American football player.

Youth and College

Seitz attended San Luis Obispo High School and was named the best high school soccer of the year in California in 2004. After high school he went to the University of Maryland. In his first year of college, he won with the team the NCAA National Championship. His goal ratio stood at 0.89 goals per game. In his second, he could improve his goal ratio to 0.77.

Club career

He was selected during the MLS Super Drafts 2007 as the first goalkeeper to fourth in the first round of Real Salt Lake. In his first season as a professional, he came to three division operations, but spent most of my time behind Nick Rimando only substitute goalkeeper. In 2009 he was only loaned to the Cleveland City Stars, where he played a game. He was then loaned for two games at the Portland Timbers.

For the 2010 season, he joined the expansion team Philadelphia Union. He was goalkeeper of the team. During the season it happened again and again error, so it was replaced by the former goalkeeper Brad Knighton. At the end of the 2010 season, he was released from Philadelphia and could be drafted from other MLS teams.

Seitz was selected by the Seattle Sounders in the second phase of Re - Entry Draft. Shortly thereafter he was moved from Seattle to FC Dallas. The Sounders were given for a preference at the MLS SuperDraft, 2012.

National

Seitz took in 2007 with the U-20 national team at the World Junior Championships in Canada in part. He arrived with the country selection the quarter-finals, where they lost Austria with 1:2 after extra time, and came in four of five games available for use. In March 2008, the goalkeeper qualified with the Olympic team for the Olympic tournament in China and was appointed by Piotr Nowak also in the squad for the finals.
