Christer Allgardh

Christer Allgardh ( born February 20, 1967 in Borås, Västra Götaland County ) is a former Swedish tennis player.

Life

Allgardh won in 1979 and 1981 respectively the Swedish Junior title. He reached the 1984 junior tournament the French Open and the quarterfinals at Wimbledon junior tournament with a victory over Thomas Muster the knockout stages. In 1983 he became a professional tennis player, first played on the ATP Challenger Tour. He reached the final of the Challenger Tournaments by mountains, Knokke -Heist, Tampere and Hanko. In 1987 he won at the side of Ulf Stenlund in Bari his first doubles title on the ATP World Tour. 1992 was succeeded by his second and last title in Guarujá. Its highest listing in the tennis world ranking he reached in 1988 with position 101 in single and in 1991 with position 93 in doubles.

In individual never managed to qualify for a Grand Slam tournament. His best results were double second-round appearances at the French Open and Wimbledon in 1993.

After the end of his professional career, he played in 2003 on the ATP Seniors Circuit, reaching as high for position 45
