Christian Dailly

Christian Edward Dailly ( born October 23, 1973 in Dundee, Scotland ) is a former Scottish footballer.

Club career

Dailly began his professional career at the age of 16 years at the Scottish Erstligaclub Dundee United. The defender joined after completing his first professional contract in England to Derby County. Later he played at Blackburn Rovers and West Ham United. He led West Ham United in the season 2004/ 05 from the First Division back in the Premier League. The beginning of 2008 he moved to the Glasgow Rangers. After expiry of the contract at Rangers Dailly signed with Charlton Athletic in the Football League One. In his debut for Charlton on August 8, 2009 after a corner kick that he scored his first goal for his new club.

National

He played a total of 34 appearances for the Scottish U -21, which he set a world record in this regard.
