Christian Fuchs ( born April 7, 1986 in Neunkirchen ) is an Austrian football player at the position of a left full-back and midfielder with FC Schalke 04 He is also captain of the Austrian national football team.

Clubs
Beginnings and time in Austria
Christian Fuchs began his career in the youth at his home club in Lower Austria Pitten, where his father is chairman of the local football club SVg Pitten hamburger. At 15, Christian Fuchs joined the youth team of SC Wiener Neustadt, where he also came to missions in the first team in 2002.
In summer 2003, Christian Fuchs joined the Burgenland Bundesliga SV Mattersburg. After he had initially come in the amateur team to use, he played in 2004 in the squad for the first team and received his first contract as a professional footballer.
