Christian Lara (footballer)

Christian Rolando Lara Anangono (* April 27, 1980 in Quito ) is an Ecuadorian footballer.

Lara's parents are from the Chota Valley north of Quito and settled in the cooperative Mena del Hierro in the higher, the poorer part of the northern Quito down. Lara came in 1994 in the youth of the Ecuadorian military members of the club CD El Nacional, for the first time he took in the first Ecuadorian league in 2000.

The attacking midfielder played until August 2006 at El Nacional and denied by August 13, 2006, a total 211 first division matches in Ecuador. In August 2006, he moved to Al Wakrah in Qatar. In January 2007 he returned to Quito and now plays for Liga de Quito. In the 2007 season he came on 31 missions through September 29. He was there as a midfielder goalscorer of the season and the Argentinean Daniel Neculman. In the finals he won with his team the Ecuadorian league title. For the 2008 season he moved to Barcelona SC Guayaquil, from the 2009 season he played for Deportivo Pereira in Colombia, which he left in the summer of 2009 and returned to Liga de Quito.

Lara has played 22 times in the Ecuadorian national football team. He stood in the squad of Ecuador at the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany and was 162 cm, the smallest player of the tournament.
