History

In January 1974, the preparations began establishing an evangelical college. Furthermore, a group of Protestant missionaries took the view that an institution should be established to train more missionaries in Ghana. The global association for Evangelizierung for Christ ( Worldwide Evangelization for Christ ) (WEC ) from which came the missionaries, acquired real property in Kumasi on the first four smaller buildings were erected. A radio station was opened and plans for the construction of a larger building were developed, in which the later University was established.

In October 1974, the class began with only four students on the present campus.

The CSU aims to prepare the various teaching programs, young evangelical Christians to play a leading role in church and society. Further, should be researched and processed Africa-related theological questions. One last important approach of the University is to spread the Christian education teaching in church and society.
