Criticism

Cubic linked in their mostly site-specific installations, the visual and acoustic perception in a complex spatial experience. Their works on site are strongly oriented towards the found concrete structures of a location, but also go well on a its atmosphere and history. Therefore, the artist seeks to especially those places that have due to their density of cultural memory many " response options ".

By the real spatial reference is hereby repealed, designed Stalking the new, even the normal mechanism of perception of the viewer is challenged. In order to identify the known as well as its transformation into unknown space, he must search his memory for new covers and already forgotten memories.

It is in the work of Kubisch to the entanglement of imagination and reality. Despite the simple means and the reduced to the necessary technology, which are typical of the way they work, open their installations by way of synaesthetic perception, which makes the hidden behind the real appearance " other " realities visible.
