Christina Perri

Christina Judith Perri ( born August 19, 1986 in Pennsylvania) is an American singer- songwriter who was with her debut single Jar of Hearts internationally known.

Beginnings and private life

Perri grew up in Bensalem, a suburb of Philadelphia. Her father has Italian, her mother Polish. At the age of eight years Perri began with piano lessons; with 15 years Perri brought autodidactic to play the guitar by watching the guitarist of the group Blind Melon in a video. Since then, they wrote their own songs. Her older brother Nick Perri played as a guitarist, among others in the rock bands Silvertide and Shinedown.

Perri attended by 2004 the Archbishop Ryan High School. After school she went as an assistant with the band of her brother on tour, until she got a scholarship to the prestigious art school University of the Arts ( Philadelphia ). After a year she broke off his studies and spent some time in Italy to discover the home of her paternal ancestors. On her 21st birthday Perri moved to Los Angeles and married in the same year.
