Christina Perri
Christina Judith Perri ( born August 19, 1986 in Pennsylvania) is an American singer- songwriter who was with her debut single Jar of Hearts internationally known.

Beginnings and private life
Perri grew up in Bensalem, a suburb of Philadelphia. Her father has Italian, her mother Polish. At the age of eight years Perri began with piano lessons; with 15 years Perri brought autodidactic to play the guitar by watching the guitarist of the group Blind Melon in a video. Since then, they wrote their own songs. Her older brother Nick Perri played as a guitarist, among others in the rock bands Silvertide and Shinedown.
Perri attended by 2004 the Archbishop Ryan High School. After school she went as an assistant with the band of her brother on tour, until she got a scholarship to the prestigious art school University of the Arts ( Philadelphia ). After a year she broke off his studies and spent some time in Italy to discover the home of her paternal ancestors. On her 21st birthday Perri moved to Los Angeles and married in the same year. After 18 months, the couple divorced, and Perri returned to Philadelphia, where she wrote the song Jar of Hearts end of 2009. She returned to Los Angeles back, worked a day job as a waitress in a coffee shop and took evening music videos on which she released on the video sharing website YouTube. About this route eventually became a Hollywood management attention to the singer took to her about Facebook contact.

Career
Perris breakthrough began with a performance of her song Jar of Hearts in the dance show So You Think You Can Dance on June 30, 2010. Her friend Keltie Colleen, a Canadian-born dancer and television presenter, had the song without Perris knowledge to the choreographer of the show sent. Perri and Colleen watched the performance in the audience. Following the broadcast of the song went directly into the Billboard Hot 100 and has sold 100,000 copies within one month. Two weeks later, the song was listed again in the show So You Think You Can Dance, this time sung live by Perri and accompanied on the piano. On July 21, 2010 signed Perri, which is now managed by the Management Agency Bill Silva, a recording contract with Atlantic Records.
Touring and performing
Become known to a wider American audience by several TV appearances (CBS, Jay Leno ), Perri launched her first tour in the spring of 2011, opening for James Blunt. Her first headlining tour led Perri under the title Love Strong Tour since July 2011 through North America, Australia and Europe. Following this, Perri will accompany the U.S. singer-songwriter Jason Mraz on the North American leg of his world tour in the late summer of 2012. On 18 February 2012 Perri sang her song Jar of Hearts before the world championship boxing fight between Vitali Klitschko and Dereck Chisora at the Olympiahalle in Munich.
Publications
On 9 November 2010 Perri released an extended play entitled The Ocean Way Sessions, to which also the song Jar of Hearts was included. Perris debut album Love Strong, produced by the eight -time Grammy winner Joe Chiccarelli was published on May 10, 2011 in the U.S. and on January 27, 2012 in Germany. Perris song A Thousand Years is the soundtrack to the film Breaking Dawn - Bis (s ) at the end of the night - Part 1 included, as running this song in the credits of Breaking Dawn - Bis (s ) at the end of the night - part 2
August 1, 2012 Perri announced that a Christmas EP will be released with the title A Very Merry Christmas Perri on October 16.
On April 1, 2014 appeared Perris second album Head or Heart. Previously, the single human has been published.
