Christine de Veyrac

Christine de Veyrac ( born November 6, 1959 in Toulouse ) is a French politician of the Union pour un mouvement populaire (UMP ). She is since 1999 Member of the European Parliament.

Life

Veyrac studied law in Toulouse.

Her political career began in 2001 as an assistant to the mayor of Toulouse, where she was responsible for external relations. After losing election of 2008 in Toulouse, she was on 11 December 2008 President of the Umps for the department of Haute -Garonne. This position she held until 2010.

1999 Christine de Veyrac was elected to the European Parliament and confirmed in the years 2004 and 2009. There she is a member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism and co-author of the list, the operating bans for the airspace of the European Union. It is Interssensvertreterin for the aircraft manufacturer Airbus, the Galileo satellite navigation system and for the free competition of rail transport.
