Christine of Baden-Durlach

Christine of Baden-Durlach (* April 22, 1645, † December 21, 1705 ) was by marriage Margravine of Ansbach and later Duchess of Saxe- Gotha -Altenburg.

Christine was the daughter of Margrave Friedrich VI. of Baden-Durlach and his wife Christine Magdalena, née Countess Palatine of Zweibrücken- Kleeburg born. In her first marriage she was married to Albrecht, reigning Margrave of Brandenburg- Ansbach. This died 1667. 1681 then she married Frederick I, reigning Duke of Saxe- Gotha -Altenburg, after it was in the same year also became a widower. Both marriages Christine remained childless.

During her first husband are buried in the church of St. Johannis in Ansbach and her second husband in the Castle Church in Gotha, Duchess found her final resting place in the royal crypt of the Castle Church in Altenburg.
