Christine Wodetzky

Christine Wodetzky, actually Christa Elisabeth Wodetzky, ( born January 5, 1943 in Leipzig, † December 7, 2004 in Berlin) was a German actress.

She fled after the Wall was built in 1961 in the West and played in numerous theaters in Stuttgart, Hamburg, Zurich, Cologne and Dusseldorf. In Berlin, she played the famed Chateau Theatre, among others at the Volksbühne Berlin.

Her roles included Polly in The Threepenny Opera, the Marquise de Merteuille in Dangerous Liaisons and the Miss Schneider in the musical Cabaret, with whom she was on tour in 2003.

In more than 120 television roles, the artist became known to a wider audience, particularly through television shows such as The Grasshopper, The Love Boat, The Happy Family, Behind Bars - The women's prison or Lorentz & Sons or thrillers such as The Old Man, Derrick and A Case for Two. In 1992, she was as Baroness Elisabeth von Porz to fill the 12-part SAT.1 game show Cluedo - Deathtrap. On the screen you saw it in German and international film productions such as in The Odessa File, Until the bitter end, The Wonderful Years and The Dybbuk.

For their roles in The Dybbuk and Betrayed and sold Wodetzky in 1970 awarded the Golden Camera. In 1980 she received for her role in the TV movie a claustrophobic Bambi and the Hartmann price.
