Christmas in the Stars

Christmas in the Stars is a musical album, which was released in November 1980 as an LP. The album includes nine Christmas songs that are presented by R2 -D2 and Anthony Daniels as C -3PO. Meco Monardo, who previously worked at the Disco album Star Wars And Other Galactic Funk, was a producer of Christmas in the Stars, while most newly recorded for the album title by Maury Yeston were written. The album was one of the first Nicht-Klassik/Jazz-Alben which was digitally recorded and mixed. The song What Can You Get a Wookiee for Christmas ( When He Already Owns a Comb? ) ( Engl. " What do you give a Wookiee, if he already has a comb ?") Reached in 1980 under the title The Star Wars Intergalactic Droid Choir and Choralle No. 69 of the U.S. single charts. In addition, Christmas in the Stars contains the first recording of the then 18 -year-old Jon Bon Jovi, who is listed on the album still with his real name John Bongiovi. It was proposed at that time by his cousin Tony Bongiovi as the lead singer looking for Meco.

A CD release followed in 1994 under the label of JFC / Polygram Special Markets. During the marketing campaign for the multimedia project Shadows of the Empire was followed on October 15, 1996 by Rhino Records another CD release of Christmas in the Stars.
