Christophe Bigot

Christophe Bigot ( born December 23, 1965 in Neuilly -sur -Seine ) is a French diplomat.

Life

Bigot attended the École polytechnique elite universities and ENA. He graduated in 1992. He currently has the rank of Conseiller of Foreign Affairs hors classe.

In 1992 he started at the French Foreign Ministry in the Department for Africa and the Middle East. In 1994, he was First Secretary in Beirut, Lebanon. In 1997 he came to the Permanent Mission at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. 2001 he served in the headquarters as deputy director for East Africa and the Indian Ocean. In 2004 he served for the first time at the embassy in Tel Aviv. In 2007 he was adviser to the cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and has since August 30, 2009 Ambassador to Israel.

He speaks English, Arabic and German, is married and has two children.
