Christopher G. Champlin

Christopher Grant Champlin ( born April 12, 1768 in Newport, Rhode Iceland, † March 18, 1840 ibid ) was an American politician ( Federalist Party), who represented the state of Rhode Iceland in both chambers of the U.S. Congress.

After he had completed the studies preparatory school ( Preparatory school ), Christopher Champlin attended Harvard College, where he graduated in 1786. He continued his education at the Jesuit College in connection continued in French Saint- Omer.

Champlin began a political career after his return to the United States. As a Federalist, he was in 1796 elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, where he served for a re-election on 4 March 1797 to 3 March 1801.
