Christopher Mayer (American actor)

Christopher Mayer ( born February 21, 1954 as George Charles Mayer III in New York City, New York, † July 23, 2011 in Sherman Oaks, California ) was an American actor.

Life

Mayer was born George Charles Mayer III, the eldest of seven children in the U.S. state of New York. He grew up in Ridgewood, New Jersey, on. He graduated from Colgate University, where he earned a degree in Business Administration ( Business). He then worked in Manhattan in an office job. Besides, he took in his spare time acting lessons.

After a few supporting roles in American TV movies, he received the lead role of Vance Duke in the fifth season of the U.S. television series The Dukes of Hazzard. He plays this role in the season 1982/1983 in more than twenty episodes. He had 1984/1985 in the U.S. television series Glitter Another solid series lead role; he played in the reporter Pete Bozak.
