Chrystabel Leighton -Porter ( according to other sources: Christabel Leighton -Porter, born April 11, 1913 in Eastleigh, Hampshire, England; † December 6, 2000 in Horsham, West Sussex, England) was an English model represented by the cartoon character Jane and their representation in a film became famous.

Life and work

Leighton -Porter was born along with her ​​twin sister as Christabel Jane Drewry as the youngest of eleven children. After finishing school, she was already teenage artist model, as it was not big enough as a model in the fashion industry. When Norman Pett, the signatories of the appearing since 1932 cartoon character Jane, in the late 1930s, a new model was looking for, because his wife, Mary, for it would not longer available to him, he chose Leighton - Porter.
