Chuck Jackson
Chuck Jackson ( born July 22, 1937 in Latta ) is an American rhythm and blues singer.
Life
Chuck Jackson grew up in Pittsburgh, and later studied at South Carolina State College, but studying to become a musician, he broke off to. Between 1957 and 1959 he was a member of the Del Vikings. After he left the Del Vikings, Luther Dixon saw him. Jackson signed a recording contract with Scepter Records. His first single I Do not Want to Cry in 1961 reached number 36 on the U.S. charts.
