Chüebodensee

The Chüebodensee is a mountain lake in Sernftal in Glarus in Switzerland. He is above Elm at an altitude of about 2'046 m and is 1.4 hectares. It has a surface runoff. However, the water disappears after a few meters in a crevice. Swimming and fishing are possible.

From Elm a cableway leads up to the mountain station Ämpächli. From there you can return to an eight -kilometer hike to the lake and back. The hike lasts four hours and offers views of the so-called Glarus overthrust ( UNESCO World Heritage ) and Martin's Hole.
