Chuichi Date

Chuichi Date (Japanese伊达 忠 一, Date Chuichi; born January 20, 1939 in Ashibetsu, Hokkaidō ) is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party ( Machimura faction ) and a deputy in Sangiin, the upper house of the Japanese parliament, for Hokkaidō.

Date Following his training for medical- technical assistants ( state examination as Rinsho Kensa gishi at today's prefecture operated Academy of Health ) in 1963, first at the Hospital of the Medical University Sapporo, 1965, he established his own laboratory, the Sapporo Rinsho Kensa Center KK (English Sapporo Clinical Laboratory Inc.).

1983 Date moved into politics when he was elected to Parliament for the city prefecture Ashibetsu in uniform regional elections in 1983. In 2001 he moved into national politics, his seat in Parliament Prefecture won the 2003 his eldest son Tadamasa (忠 応), but resigned in 2007 after a scandal for drunk driving ..

He received nearly a million votes and moved with the clearly highest share of the vote before Katsuya Ogawa (DPJ ) into a Sangiin, 2007, he was re-elected with the second highest share of the vote behind Ogawa for another six years. In Sangiin Date was Chairman of the Committees for Economic Affairs, Trade and Industry (2006-2007) and for administrative supervision ( 2009-2010 ). From 2004 to 2005 he was Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport during the second Koizumi Cabinet. Under the Prime Ministers Abe, Fukuda and Asō he was one of the deputy secretaries-general of the national LDP; 2003 to 2007 he was chairman of the LDP Sapporo.

In the second cabinet Abe date was 2012-2013 State Secretary in the Cabinet Office. In the 2013 election he was Sangiin in Hokkaido sure ( 903 693 votes, 37.7 %) re-elected by a wide margin on Ogawa ( 583 995 votes, 24.4%) for a third term.
