Chwałkowo Kościelne

Chwałkowo Kościelne ( German Neudorf 1939-43, 1943-45 Walkau ) is a village in Poland in the Greater Poland Voivodeship in powiat Sremski. The population of Chwałkowo Kościelne is 730 people. Towns nearby are Kolacin, MCHY and Książ Wielkopolski. Despite the small population, there are locally a kindergarten and a primary school.

Attractions

  • The Church of the Archangel Michael, It was built in 1819 and has a neo-Gothic presbytery (1891 ). The tower dates from the year 1904. Inside, there are fragments of a late Gothic bas-reliefs of the Adoration of the Magi and a predella with the scene The women at the grave of 1500.
