Chýstovice

Chýstovice ( German Cheystowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eleven kilometers northwest of Cervena Řečice and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Chýstovice located in the southwest of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands at a left tributary of the creek Martinický ( Goldbach ). North-east rises the Kočihrady ( 561 m). To the east lies the Stauweiher Martinický fishpond. The village is situated on the state road 112 between Čechtice and Cervena Řečice.

Neighboring towns are Růžkovy Lhotice in the north, Krčmy and Skoranovice in the northeast, Chyšná in the east, Marti u Onšova, Borek and Košetice the southeast, Červův Mlýn, Mikešův Mlýn and Nová Ves in the south, Kramolín and Jedlina the southwest, Křešín and Mohelnice in the west and Čeněnice and Malá Paseka in the northwest.

History

Probably the area was the property of Slavnikiden. According to ancient scriptures, Duke of Slavnik Zlic build on the hill above Onšov a wooden church. Presumably, this was done in 980 during his lifetime Slavníks, the traditional date 995 is unlikely since Slavnik was murdered in 981 Libice nad Cidlinou. In 1088, gifted Vratislav II Swatawa his wife with a Sprengel from the possession of the Vyšehrad chapter, between the rivers Želivka and Goldbach ( Martinický Potok ) and was the center formed Kralowitz. 1144 shared Vladislav II the Sprengel between the monastery and the diocese Seelau Prague. 1360 guardhouse was on the trade route Via Humpolencis that led from Prague via Benešov, Vlašim, Čechtice through the Valley of Gold creek and on to Humpolec and Jihlava, built. In subsequent years, emerged in the vicinity of the road to watch a round village green with pond, a small settlement, which was called Chejstovice or Cheystowitz. It is alleged that the place name is derived from the request to stop Hey Stoj.

After the replacement of patrimonial Chejstovice / Cheystowitz formed in 1850 a district of the political community Černičí in the District Commission Ledetsch. Seat of the District Court was Dolni Kralovice little later. From 1880, together with the district made ​​Chejstovice Jedlina own community. Since 1923, the village is known as Chýstovice. From 1949 Chýstovice belonged to Okres Pacov. After the dissolution of the congregation was founded in 1961 associated with the Okres Pelhřimov. In 1976, the annexation to Košetice. At the beginning of 1992, Chýstovice and Jedlina broke again from Košetice and now form a separate municipality. The former school serves, inter alia today as the seat of the commune office and cultural events.
