The Cibao Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional del Cibao ) is the third largest of now six international airports in the Dominican Republic. This is Uveral, near Santiago and Licey. Aircraft up to the size of Boeing 747 and Boeing 777 can start in the Cibao and land.
The Cibao airport is a hub of Caribair and Pan Am World Airways Dominicana.
History
On 7 February 2008 a Britten- Norman BN -2A of Caribair crashed en route from Santiago to La Romana.
