Cierra Ramirez

Cierra Ramirez Alexa ( born March 5, 1995, Houston, Texas) is an American actress, best known for her role as Mariana Foster in The Fosters (since 2013).

Life

Ramirez was born in 1995 as the daughter of a Colombian mother and a Mexican father in Houston, Texas. Currently she divides her time between Los Angeles and New York. Ramirez has a younger sister named Savannah. After a few guest appearances on several television series, she took a recurring role as Kathy in broadcast of ABC Family Youth series The Secret Life of the American Teenager 2012-2013. Thus, the sender was aware of them and occupied Ramirez for a starring role in the drama series The Fosters. She plays there Mariana Foster, one of the adopted children of lesbian couple Stef Foster ( Teri Polo) and Lena Adams ( Sherri Saum ).

Her first major film role was played by Ramirez in 2012 in the film drama Girl in Progress, for which she won the ALMA Award and the Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actress respectively.
