The company in its corporate history back to 1792, when the company Insurance Company of North America ( INA). 1865, the insurance companies Connecticut General Life Insurance Company (CG ) was founded in Hartford. Some 120 years later in 1982 the two companies merged to become CG and INA company CIGNA.
