CIHT-FM

CIHT -FM is an English-language private radio station in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The transmitter sends current charts in the Top 40 Contemporary Hit Radio format with a power of 27 kW at the frequency 89.9FM. The station is operated by Newcap Broadcasting and supplies Ottawa and the surrounding area. Furthermore, transfer the program to the internet and fed into the digital cable network of several cable operators.

History

The station received its broadcast license from the Canadian Radio and Television Commision in 2001. Initially, a dance format was aired under the station name " The Planet ". From 7 February 2003, the broadcast format was changed to the current CHR format. It is the largest station of Newcap Broadcasting. The transmitter produces locally the shipment Canadian Hit 30 Countdown. What every week is presented by the Moderator Team Mauler and Rush.
