Cilia Flores

Cilia Flores ( * 1953 in Tinaquillo ) is a Venezuelan politician and lawyer. Currently, she is a Member of the PSUV in the Venezuelan National Assembly. She is married to Nicolás Maduro.

Curriculum vitae

She seated herself as an advocate for the release of Hugo Chávez in 1994. Chávez had since 1992 because of a bloody coup attempt in prison.

Criticism

Cilia Flores has been repeatedly criticized by the opposition for alleged nepotism. Several of her close relatives were made by the National Assembly, when she was deputy.

Once she said at the National Assembly: "Here my family is employed now and I am very proud that they are my relatives. I will defend them as workers in this National Assembly and I will defend the public competitions. "
