Cineplexx Cinemas

Ges.m.b.H. The Cineplexx cinemas is the largest cinema operator in Austria and a subsidiary of Constantin Film -Holding with headquarters in Vienna. It was founded in 1993 and operates under the name Cineplexx 21 multiplex cinemas (one of them in South Tyrol ) and 13 other single-or multi - hall cinema. Austria's largest cinema operator by Constantin United Cinemas International and Hollywood Megaplex.

History

The first -screen movie opened in Graz on 31 October 1996. It was after the Apollo Cinema in December 1993, which was at that time, still built by the Cineinvest, a subsidiary of Constantin Film - Holding and Kiba, the second cinema center of Constantin Film - Holding. The largest Cineplexx was erected in November 1999 on the so-called Danube plate, the Cineplexx Reichsbrücke with 13 halls and 3,400 seats. However, this was closed again in 2011. On May 12, 2009, the first Cineplexx outside Austria in Bolzano ( South Tyrol), opens with seven cinema halls and a total of 1,416 seats. It is the first cinema complex in Italy, which is fully digitized, but also has analog projectors.
