Circle Colonel

The circle Obrist was a ruler in the kingdom circles of the Holy Roman Empire of the German nation in the early modern period.

After the district regulations of 1522, each circle should appoint a captain and show the emperor. However, this should not be military commander of the district of troops in the first place, but perform all tasks of the circles mentioned in this district regulations. In Augsburg reform work from September 25, 1555 his duties were now set again with the title circle Obrist.

Tasks
